He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: He got into the Scribe business at a young age. His parents enrolled him in a Adept school at a young age so that he could practice his arcane talents. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and to be a spice merchant again

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He became a Fortune-teller soon after.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and sabotage a competitor
