History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. As a very small child his family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. His father, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect him and cast a teleportation spell that whisked him away. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is underhanded and not above using his wealth and body to get others to do his bidding.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. Through the years after Thorin was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Thorin's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
