To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. Gale was born on a far southern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Spice Merchant. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away
