He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Mason they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Stableman, and he later adopted a second daughter.

History: Born in the north to a Barber, Bernard learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Barber.
