History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. Bertram was a troubled youth. History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Altho grew up listening to his father's many stories. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Altho grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Altho. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Halfling artifacts is his passion.
