History: Heian lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and to reunite with his old friends

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A freak accident while working with his Shoemaker father left him crippled. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. Taklinn enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Taklinn was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
