After coming to the age of reason, Roland took it upon himself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He tends to his Tanner job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.
