History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Tieflings in Modean's homeland. Modean decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Modean fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: His necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Herbalist hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.
