History: Paelias was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this eastern guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the north were limited. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the east. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Dragonborn conditions. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the east; and he has money and likes to spend it
