He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. After months of barely getting by, Aelar managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.
