Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. Energy wise he seems alert and responsive.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Peren has worked very hard to control his curse. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Description: This man stands a little under 6'1" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He wears a white cloak and cross-gartered yellow stockings. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. His eyes are green and catlike.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Ûgakûga was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.
