History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Stylist. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. After a long history of fighting, Howard and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Adrik was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
