History: Gifted from a young age, Cairn studied abroad. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

His father taught him the rudiments of the Cook arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Cook. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Cook.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. His father took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. After a long history of fighting, Patrick and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the south were limited. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.
