History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and he has money and likes to spend it

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He lacks restraint and is impulsive. He jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: Raer was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for him.

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: Born in the south to a Spice Merchant, Ernest learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He became a Spice Merchant soon after.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Spice Merchant responsibilities is difficult; and to be a interpreter again

Personality: Tharivol is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: He uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs; and retire the richest man in the north
