History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

He has done his best to style his silver hair to look like a famous performer. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: Oskar hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the west. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his religion dominates his actions

Description: He is an average looking northern male in his early mid-life. He tends to wear a tan poncho over his likewise colored trousers and shirt. His chestnut hair is cut short. He wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into his face.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. He moved out south to avoid the crime he committed. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle; and a rival would like him out of the picture

Description: He is a mite stocky and wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. He sports a flattop hair cut. He has a dull look in his green eyes.

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Halflings.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Dilettante hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Halfling compassion; and a strong sense of loyalty to halfling people
