History: Norman hails from a village terrorized by giants. At some point he was captured by giants and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He got into the Scribe business at a young age. Through the years after Rathkran was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Rathkran's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He tends to his Scribe job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
