He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: He is a Yochlol in disguise. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His parents were killed by drow in a raid when he was still a young child.
