History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, drow burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying north to reunite his family. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by drow. River was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the drow.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Veit alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

Description: This eastern man is abnormally tall. He is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down. His whole body is exceptionally muscular. He wears a broad hat to cover his moderate length brown hair. His half smiles and gray eyes are beguiling and draw you in.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He wants revenge against giants; and revenge

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He came across an abandoned tomb where he found a relic that called out to him. After picking it up he was cursed by unlife.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and obtaining odd cultural halfling artifacts is his passion
