Description: Runty and weak-looking, he wears a red wide-brimmed hat and red clothes. His silver hair has been sun bleached extensively. His violet eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.

Personality: He is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as he rather likes the sound of his voice. His demeanor is somewhat feminine. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: Aust lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his youth he was a Priest, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger brother on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: He is an exceptionally muscular looking western young adult. He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright blue and green, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. Beneath his clothing is a huge mess of scar tissue. He sports a flattop hair cut. His hazel eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this western guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Aust fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

Description: His left thumb is blackened and bruised, but otherwise he appears quite healthy. He wears baggy white pantaloons and a pastel scarf. His hair is brown, silky, and of moderate length. He has a dull look in his blue eyes.

Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and wishes to resurrect an old love

Description: He is wearing a long, brown, dusty cloak, and carries scythes. His red hair is still thick. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines brown.

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and a rival would like him out of the picture

Description: This slender man stands about 3'7". He wears a worn and beaten armor. He sports a flattop hair cut. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Broce embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: Born in the west to a Layabout, Broce learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has taken up work as a Layabout and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.

Motivation: He is wracked by social anxiety; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg
