Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He uses divination through singing.

History: Gifted from a young age, Anselm studied abroad. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Cartwright responsibilities is difficult.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Jade embodies much of what other species detest in the Tabaxis. He is obsessed with his god.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Jade was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
