History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Healer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Description: This younger middle-aged man prefers to wear flannel, and a wedding ring on his left hand. He has dyed his greying chestnut hair a little too much giving a sharp chestnut color. His eyes are blue and beady.

Personality: He hates gnolls. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Peren hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Peren alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Some 4 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Peren never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Ortegar embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the south were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. He is ready at a moment's notice to give into his darker urges. He is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. He often ends up burning people alive in the fires he starts.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Miles was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Miles's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. As of late he has set up a hidden staging nest where he ambushes people he hires for escort.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Personality: He exudes charisma. He is a tour de force of persuasion. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever.
