History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered painting. He has never given up on his painting dream.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and balancing his hectic life and new herbalist responsibilities is difficult

Description: A middle-aged man, he wears a robe, a symbol of the four houses of cards around his neck, and a club on his belt, and is pretty ugly. His black fur is matted, messy, and big. His eyes are a pleasant amber.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: Born in the west to a Shoemaker, Beast learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Beast grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Beast. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Five was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He tends to his Layabout job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and doesn't want to be a dyer and was forced into it by his family
