He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: The man has a huge range of feeling. He will range from being happy and joking with the occasional self put down to crying stating how he will be a better person from this day on. The war was a terrible time for him, and Chem does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Chem was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.
