History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Ghaliver alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Flak. He now owns his own business.
