When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Shamash and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Kelter was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
