History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Erdan was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He moved out west to avoid the crime he committed. Being a Knight kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Ruler business.

History: Born to a Fisher, his father struggled to pay the bills. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and a rival would like him out of the picture
