History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His arcane abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Curran and his spouse have recently divorced.
