His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His parents were killed by drow in a raid when he was still a young child. The drow captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

History: Korfel was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Wizard, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Wizard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.
