Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his writing with anyone who is interested.

History: He was born into a rich family. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Bhevek alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and money/treasure

Personality: He will rave to anyone who will listen. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Pikar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a old dungeon. He would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Pikar took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up pickaxe and armor he uses now. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Gorbundus grew up listening to his father's many stories. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and meet up once more with his childhood friend

Personality: He is a Courier first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the north. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and to reunite with his absent mother
