History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
