History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Carter but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He was born in the south. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Burto isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Halfling unity. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Burto was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Through the years after Burto was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Burto's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
