Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Tiefling activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Tiefling doctor. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Varis was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Half-Elf Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Amûg fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Kellen will drive conversation. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born at the edge of vast desert. Kellen liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. A freak accident while working with his Bookbinder mother left him crippled. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
