History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Mamnen was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Chay grew up listening to his father's many stories. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Healer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Personality: He believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: He was born in the east. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Theriatis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Theriatis. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and seeks redemption
