History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Rurik was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. His first spouse was a Jeweler, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
