History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Gildmak grew up listening to his mother's many stories. While he appears to be a normal Halfling, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Raer was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help
