His father taught him the rudiments of the Bookbinder arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. He always admired necromantic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and he loathes his own lifestyle

History: Rivaan lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Personality: Kipper speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. While he appears to be a normal Gnome, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers; and nothing but the best is good enough for him
