History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. Bertram was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Bertram decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: Mûg was born with his father's beautiful face. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He tends to his Soapmaker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: To be a Courier again; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world
