History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. Gerard was a troubled youth. Gerard decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He's also a talented Shoemaker, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Dilettante responsibilities is difficult.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day
