To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Az-Rans. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Shadow was raised in a hard working conservative environment. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Weaver.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He now mingles about in high society.
