History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. In his 15th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He is a Fisher first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He can't help but pocket interesting objects he comes across

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. While he appears to be a normal Tiefling, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.
