History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Az-Rans was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Through the years after Az-Rans was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Az-Rans's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 6'8" when asserting himself. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. His otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and wishes to resurrect an old love

Description: He wears a tan broad hat and tan clothes. He has relatively dark skin and is very physically imposing due to his abundance of muscles. His hair is golden and curly. His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his hazel eyes.

Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: He was raised in a forest tribe. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: Many brigands want him driven away; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it

Description: The light-skinned man stands 2'11" and has a large red mantle and cape that has been intricately interwoven into his brown robe. He sports a long brown beard, and similarly colored long hair. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines violet.

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. While he appears to be a normal Halfling, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He never wears the same outfit twice, unless he absolutely has to.

History: He is a Yochlol in disguise. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Half-Elven companion (his 'brother'). He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and he wants to meet his childhood hero
