History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. His first spouse was a Priest, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. A gifted student he started as a Butcher, but he got bored and became a Carter. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and expand his business

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. While he appears to be a normal Gnome, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
