Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Morgran was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Anselm decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature halberd.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
