He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes brigands are coming to abduct people. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. He is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Animal Trainer arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Rathkran liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. Being a Animal Trainer kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it.

More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out.

He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. A freak accident while working with his Bowyer father left him crippled. He tends to his Guard job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
