Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Modean was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was taken from his home at a very young age. After a long history of fighting, Modean and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it; and he wants revenge against orcs

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He became a Guard soon after.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and a rival would like him out of the picture
