History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Riardon was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When Riardon reached his early adolescence his Elf mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

History: Gerard was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A gifted student he started as a Brewer, but he got bored and became a Scribe. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
