History: Art lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Halfling companion (his 'brother'). He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Bowyer and was forced into it by his family; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it
