History: Mantus was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Commoner, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Commoner in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

History: Born in the east to a Barkeep, Chad learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He's also a talented Gardener, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and to end his boredom

History: Gilbert lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents enrolled him in a Fighter school at a young age so that he could practice his arcane talents. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.
