History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He moved out west to avoid the crime he committed. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He has all his life been fascinated with writing.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Korfel was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has never given up on his writing dream.
