History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Emerald was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He became a Sellsword soon after.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the east. Baern was born on a far eastern mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Unemployed. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
